Tranmere Rovers Trust set to improve Fan Park thanks to grant

Tranmere Rovers Trust’s Fan Park in Birkenhead, Merseyside, is set to benefit from a major cash injection following the news that they have been awarded a grant of £6,500 from the Premier League Fans Fund.

The grant will enable the Trust to improve their existing dedicated fans area. The Fan Park’s facilities will be upgraded, including its music and lighting systems, and the available seating area will be expanded.

This will help Tranmere Rovers FC to encourage more families and young people to attend matches by creating a vibrant and friendly atmosphere for both home and away supporters. The grant award will also allow the Tranmere Rovers Trust to engage new members and volunteers.

To celebrate this grant, there will be a photo opportunity at the rejuvenated Fan Park on Saturday 30 December, shortly before Tranmere Rovers FC play Guiseley AFC.

The Premier League Fans Fund is a commitment from the Premier League to fund projects and organisations which improve the relationship between fans and their clubs, the way football supporters engage with each other and fans’ experience of the game.

Ben Harrison, Chair of Tranmere Rovers Trust said, said: “We are delighted to receive support from the Premier League Fans Fund. This will massively improve the match day experience for both home and away fans.

“Tranmere Rovers FC are a true community club and we value our supporters very highly. We are also keen to welcome away fans to the Fan Park so that together everyone can enjoy the atmosphere.”
